Hill Walking the Easy Way

The Railway Walk

The only one of our English holidays with a bit of coastline! Not your bucket and spade seaside though, but salt marsh and a few low cliffs. A haven for seabirds and a joy for seabird watchers.

This 4-day / 40 mile walk takes us through some of northern England's finest scenery and gives us the chance to admire and enjoy one of Britain's best-loved feats of engineering - the Settle - Carlisle railway.
